After earning an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Colorado, Ed had successful careers of 8 years each at General Electric Company and Arizona Public Service. In 1985 he started Butte Construction Company and for 15 years built large commercial, retail and residential projects.

In 1993 he began developing commercial property under the Butte name. Over the years he has created numerous multifamily, single family and Class A office projects such as Kierland Corporate Center. With the completion of The Landmark, one of the most successful mid-rise residential condo projects in Arizona, Ed became one of a select few in Arizona that has developed 98 ultra-luxury condos that sold for an arrange of $1,000,000. The Landmark ultra-luxury condos in Kierland can be seen at www.LandmarkLifestyle.com. In his career, Ed has successfully developed over $250,000,000 of projects in Arizona and Colorado.

A longtime community activist, Ed has been involved in numerous Boards including Valley Partnership and Valley Leadership. In addition, he has served on the National Multi Housing Council Advisory Committee and the Town of Paradise Valley Planning and Zoning Commission. He is currently active in industry organizations Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).  In 2015 Ed was honored as the Heart for the Homeless Award recipient for his tireless volunteer work and board service with UMOM New Day Centers (Arizona’s largest shelter for homeless families).

Prior to joining Easy Street South/Butte Realty, Maura was President and Designated Broker of a local real estate brokerage specializing in condominium sales and development.  Maura has sold over 500 condominiums since 2004.  Although a licensed broker for more than 30 years, Maura has vast experience in commercial appraisal,  multi-family project management, land acquisition and entitlement processes.  Maura moved to Arizona after earning her Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

Project Director, Easy Street

Ron Emes is a seasoned professional in the real estate development and construction arena.  He began his career in the commercial general contracting space climbing the ranks to project manager working on various types of construction from tilt panel movie theatres (Harkins Cine Capri 101) to high rise luxury condo towers (The Scottsdale Waterfront).  In 2007 he switched over to the development side of the business as a Director of Development for residential tracts of land under design/build development in the DC Ranch/Silverleaf neighborhoods.  In 2008 Ron started his own general contracting business specializing in luxury single family home remodels and commercial tenant improvements.  Ron is an AZ licensed dual building contractor as well as a LEED Accredited Professional.  He now utilizes that 15 years of experience to benefit future buyers of this new luxury condo development in Carefree, AZ.

Controller, Butte Companies

Dennis joined the Butte team as the Controller in 2011 bringing with him over 14 years of experience in corporate accounting and financial management in the real estate development industry.  As Controller, Dennis is responsible for all accounting and finance functions, cash flow analysis, loan management and compliance, forecasts, budgeting, project proformas, overseeing project acquisitions, project cost accounting, construction loan draws, close of escrow coordination on residential sales and office management. Some of the notable projects that Dennis has worked on as part of the Butte Team are the Landmark II and Hillcrest I Condos.

Dennis grew up on the East Coast and graduated from Bentley College in Waltham, MA with an Economics/Finance degree.  After college, he relocated to Scottsdale in 1996. He spent the next 14 years working for SunCor Development Company. He spent his last 5 years at SunCor as Director of Accounting.  While at Suncor, he oversaw the financial process for multiple master planned communities as well several residential developments. Some of those projects include Stoneridge, a master planned community in Prescott Valley, AZ, Palm Valley, a master planned community in Goodyear, AZ, Edgewater at Hayden Ferry, a 40 unit Condo tower in Tempe, AZ, and Bridgeview at Hayden Ferry, a 104 unit Condo tower in Tempe, AZ. In February 2011, Dennis became a CPA.

Dennis enjoys sports, traveling and spending time with his wife and two kids, a son and a daughter. Dennis usually spends his weekends coaching his son’s baseball team and watching his daughter play volleyball.
